Started in 2019, The Leading Ladies Little-Big Band is a new university-level ensemble in the Vancouver jazz community. Directed by Casey Thomas-Burns, this 10-piece ensemble was originally formed to be a part of the Leading Ladies series at Presentation House. This band brings a new energy to the traditional jazz style, as well as more contemporary compositions. The Leading Ladies recently performed alongside the Sister Jazz Orchestra at the West Coast Big Band Festival.
