Robin Comeau - Trumpet
Robin Comeau is a lead trumpet specialist currently based out of North Vancouver, B.C. While studying at Capilano University she spend four years as the lead trumpet player for the "A" Band, while simultaneously pursuing her Bachelor of Psychology at Simon Fraser University. In addition to The Leading Ladies Little Big Band, Robin plays lead trumpet with Matt Grinke’s Happiest Big Band on Earth, the Brentwood Jazz All-Stars, the Meridian Jazz Orchestra.

Amber Tsang - Trumpet
Amber Tsang (she/her) is an up-and-coming jazz musician based in Vancouver B.C. She is a vocalist and trumpet player who graduated from Capilano University with her B.Mus in Jazz Studies and is currently completing her Bachelor of Education at UBC. Amber's passion for singing and playing the trumpet started when she was in high school. She has continued to grow on both voice and trumpet through studying with local artists Steve Maddock, Mary Jo Bischoff, Geordie Roberts, and Daniel Hersog. Amber has had the pleasure of playing and singing in several ensembles at Capilano University including big bands, Narwhal, and Nitecap where she has had the opportunity to learn and perform with guests artists including Renee Rosnes, Peter Bernstien, Maria Schnieder and Bria Skonberg.
Amber works as a performing musician across the lower mainland and she aspires to encourage representation and diversity with her music in the Vancouver jazz scene. Her most recent accomplishments include being given the "Rising Star Jazz Musician Award" from the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival and releasing her debut album "Autumn Nocturne" in 2021. |
Hayley Bennett - Trombone
Hayley Bennett (she/her) is a trombonist, vocalist, and music educator from Vancouver B.C. Hayley has loved music from a young age and pursued her passion by achieving a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies with a focus on Education at Capilano University. During her time in University she had the opportunity to perform alongside musicians including Maria Schneider, Donny McCaslin, Bria Skonberg, Wycliffe Gordon, and many more while playing in the ‘A Band’ and singing in top vocal group ‘Nitecap’.
Hayley currently teaches private piano and voice lessons and will be pursuing a Bachelor of Education at the University of British Columbia in the fall of 2022. |
